'Laughter is the best medicine'

Good morning everyone it's Ann-Marie popping in quickly to share a little crafty something with you today.

Well I had a little change from making Christmas cards and made a card just a little out of my comfort zone as there is not an image or copic in sight!  I used some gorgeous paper from The Scrapcake 'My Private Happiness' pad and boy this is just beautiful so pretty and just decided to team it up with a sentiment from a Paper Smooches set called 'Uplifters' and thought the sentiment and paper complimented each other lovely.  I added a little ribbon tied into a big bow and popped a Prima crystal on top for a little bling.

Winter Princess

Happy Friday everyone! It's Linda here.First of all I'd like to say thank you to all the people who sent me messages of concern. I'm so sorry that I've not posted for a while now.  I had some personal stuff going on and some work stuff and health stuff and other stuff all rolled into one and I couldn't even face going into my crafty space to create.  My mojo had been completely squashed by it all. I'm feeling a bit better now and the mojo is slowly coming back, so you should start to see a bit more of me over the next couple of weeks.

Anyway, this is my Dies to Die for DT post for today and as I have a TON of stuff to catch up with I won't waffle on too much but will share pics and the products at the end.

It's also my son's birthday today, 27 years today, now that makes me feel OLD lol!

I'm very happy to be back with you all and I can't wait to catch up with all your makes.

That's all from me for today, but I'll be back soon.

So easy to use and put together.....I used one to hold one of the test tubes I had made for my Craft Fair...the tube is quite fussy so I kept the holder pretty simple....yummy Christmas papers from Imaginisce.....the next one I have plans for a bit more decoration!

Another way to use those pretty papers......

Morning everyone!

Its Lou in for you today and I really had itchy use that silhouette and some lush papers feeling this week so I dug out some stunning papers from my bulk box buys and got to work.

I adore how this came out, I always forget how easy it is to use those 12x12 papers with my silhouette machine,it makes crafting sooooo much fun to slip out of card mode a little and use them for something neat and different. Now, if you feel the neeeeeed for a milk carton die there is one in the shop just crying to be used!!! you will find it HERE.

I am going to fill the little cartons with travel mini's. Mo is going to choose them for his Aunty Lorraine and Uncle Stuart who are jetting off for chrimbles in the U.S.

Thank you for popping in on me,

Huge hugs Lou xxx

Christmas Bauble

Good morning everyone and a very happy Sunday to you all.  I hope the weather is better where you are folks as its rather soggy here!

Anyway, I have another Christmas make to share with you today and this time I've made a Christmas bauble.  I used a cute little stamp from Taylored Expressions called 'Wishes on a Wire' which was lovely to colour up and of course I had to add lots of Stickles on the snow.  I took my colour inspiration for the image from the gorgeous Bazzill 'Countdown to Christmas' papers and I do love these such rich colours.

Merry Christmas!....

It's all going a bit Christmas mad in my house as I madly try to get everything finished for my Craft Fair on Saturday!!
I saw this technique either in blogland or Pinterest....(I spend far too much time on both!!).....and have been itching to try it out...for a first attempt I am pretty pleased with it and it doesn't take long at all!
First I covered my cardstock with Faded Jeans DI, then I dabbed white ink over the stencil ( I used Memory Boxes Bubbles
The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Little Bits of Christmas Stamp set....which I have fallen in love with and has been added to my ever increasing wishlist! And of course a little bit of Stickles to finish off!!

A christmassy hello!!

Hi everyone!

well the christmas tunes have been on all weekend and I have been busy pootling away with christmassy makes!! I love it!!

For this one i decided to go with a really CAS base for my uber cute little bird from the Tiddly Inks for the birds clear stamp set, that I decided to fussy cut out and turn into a little robin for this job!!

Those gorgeous swooshes of brown are from the Die- namics Jumbo Abstract Art stamp set. I generously splodged on some Hero Arts Cup O' Jo Shadow ink, and stamped it twice, the lighter shade is from just re-stamping right away with the residue left over from the darker one. This ink is totally magic because when as dries it fills up all the little 'holes'.I really do love the effect it gave on this one.

I cut one of the Die-Namics happy hellos dies and just added it on top of the swooshes of brown. Then with a little white gel pen I added some gentle snow flake dots around the card and popped my little robin on with a foam dot so he popped out some sitting on his little 'o'!!

Then I doodled a little around the edges of my card mats, theres nothing like a quick doodle to soften up those sharp edges!!

Thank you for popping in
Huge hugs

Two Turtle Doves

Hello everyone it's my turn, Ann-Marie, to share something with you all today.

So what have I got to show you today; well I'm still in Christmas mode but this time I've made a little something for myself to keep.  I like all these pretty wall hangings I see in the shops so I thought hey I could make one of those and I like how it's turned out so I think I will make a couple more and have them hanging in my hallway at Christmas.

I inked up an older Whimsy Stamps Christmas image called 'Two Turtle Doves' by Elisabeth Bell and coloured her with my usual copics.  I teamed her up with some gorgeous Maja Design papers 'Vintage Winter' and these are so so pretty and they of course inspired my colour theme which has turned out quite traditional.  I added a Whimsy Stamps sentiment 'Holiday Postage Stamps' and distressed it up a little with Tim Holtz 'Walnut Stain' distress ink.

Okay so that's all from me.  I hope you are all having a great weekend and have managed to get a little crafty too.

Amber

Happy Friday all! It's DT Linda here and  I'm a very happy bunny today for several reasons, firstly I have a few days holiday from work, secondly my beautiful daughter is coming to visit this weekend and finally I absolutely love my card today, it turned out so well!

This is 'Amber', one of the new Saturated Canary collection from Little Darlings Rubber Stamp, isn't she lovely? I just adore her.

I've coloured her up with my Copics today, you can find the colours I used over on my blog here.  I think she would look equally wonderful in Distress Inks, and I will certainly be colouring her in those another time,  but Copics suited this wonderful paper pad 'Ambrosia'  from Bo Bunny perfectly.
I've linked products used at the end of my post.

I cut her out with my pierced ovals from MFT and then slipped a couple of doilies cut with the Felicity Doily Die from Cheery Lynn. All edges have been inked with Walnut Stain distress ink.

I cut a lot of little butterflies with the Dancing Butterflies die from Memory box, to echo the little butterflies that are fluttering around her in the image. I edged the frame with this lovely TuTu trim in lilac, it's called purple, but it seems much more lilac to me!

Finally I decorated the inside to compliment the front, even adding a few more of those delightful butterflies. I was going to add a sentiment involving butterflies to the front of the card, but in the end there really wasn't enough room lol, but one can always be added to the inside if needed.

I hope you like my make for today, I have to admit I'm a little in love with her myself and it's going to be very hard to part with her!

See you soon :) xx

A little Penguin Joy!!

Morning everyone!!

oooooh christmas is getting ever closer and I absolutely love it! I have been playing away making my christmas cards this weekend. A mix of simple ones that are easy to post and floofy ones that I can hand over to family. This little cutie is one of my simple ones.

But honestly, these cute little penguins don't need anything else to go with them, they say it all with those chubby little cheeks don't they? awww they are so cute!! I also layered it out so that I can add a little name along the bottom when I decide whose card this is going to be, I love doing that too!!

Thank you for popping in

Mimosa - Christmas Flower

Happy Sunday everyone and I hope you've had a good weekend.

I've been making Christmas cards again so I have one of them to share with you today.  I really do love Bildmalarna stamps and they have some gorgeous Christmas images and for my card I chose to use an older stamp but still one of my favourites.  This image is 'Mimosa - Christmas Flower' and I chose a very simple colour palette to compliment the Maja Design Vintage Frost Basics '9th December' papers I used.

Zoe Butterfly

Happy Friday all. Linda here again at the end of the week, I hope your week has been good to you.  Mine has been horrendous ....mostly because my boiler broke down last weekend and I've had no heating and no hot water, add to that the roadworks causing long delays on my journey home from work (it's taken me 2 hours to get home most evenings this week) and a couple of other issues, I'm more than glad to see this week come to an end.

But enough of my moaning. let's move on to my card which is MUCH more cheerful lol.

I used Zoe Butterfly, by Elisabeth Bell from Whimsy Stamps, isn't she pretty?

I coloured her with distress inks (you can find the colours I used listed on my blog here) and matched her to these lovely papers from the MME 6 x 6 pad Lost & Found - Find Your Wings and Fly. Papers have been edged with Walnut Stain distress ink and then hand stitched with top stitch thread.

I popped a couple of hot air balloons cut with a La-La Land die behind the image and added some lovely trims and flowers from my stash.

I also added some little enamel dots from MME, to match the papers.

I decorated the inside to complement the front.

List of products from the shop.

Stamp: Zoe Butterfly
Papers: MME Lost and Found - Find Your Wings and Fly
Walnut Stain Distress Ink
La-La Land Hot Air Balloon Die
Enamel Dots MME Record it - Follow your Heart

That's all from me today, but I'll be back next week!

Have a great Friday! :) xx

Warm Hands Warm Heart

Hello everyone Ann-Marie popping in today to share with you another little Christmas card I have made to add to my Christmas stock.

I went all warm and cozy with my make today I have chosen to ink up the gorgeous Whimsy Stamps 'Warm hands warm heart' image by Time for Tea Designs.  I do so love this image and its fabby to colour too and to stay in keeping with the warm theme I inked her up in Memento 'warm cocoa' before colouring her in with my copics.  Once I had my chosen image the bit I find the hardest to decide on is what yummy papers to use and settled on some beautiful Bazzill papers called 'Nordic Pines' and love the colour combination in the set.

Okay time for me to toodle on off folks.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend I know I'll be trying to sneak a little colouring in if I can.
